Dear selected candidates,
There have been quite a few queries from those of you who need accommodation on campus. Here are a few clarifications.
1. The amount payable for accommodation MUST NOT be added to the Demand Draft of Delegate Fees as announced two weeks ago. That is a separate demand draft and you will be provided details once your reservation has been confirmed by the IIT Hospi Desk. The reservations for accommodation at IIT begin on May 16.
2. Registration for the workshop begins on May 28th evening and there are plans of having an inaugural ceremony a day ahead of the first official day of the workshop (May 29). So participants are advised to finish their registration formalities by May 28th. Hence, outstation candidates may want to reach a day earlier.
If you are arriving on May 28, you may have to stay for six nights or more depending on your flight/train out. So please email hospitality.workshop@gmail.com to get an estimate depending on your choice of room.
3. The timings for the workshop are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The workshop will conclude with a one and a half day long seminar between June 2 and 3. Four and a half days of academics and one and a half day of seminar with industry professionals from around the country. By late evening of June 3rd, the Chennai International Screenwriting Workshop/Seminar will come to a close.
